JO avfärdar kritik mot hantering av swishlistan

The Swedish Parliamentary Ombudsman (JO) has completed its investigation of the Sundsvall prosecutor's handling of the swishlist, finding no reason to criticise the prosecutor or question the decision not to initiate a preliminary investigation into the expenditures on the list. The swishlist contained a list of individuals who the police wished to map out in Sundsvall. Critics had questioned whether the list contradicted the rights of Swedish citizens not to be monitored unnecessarily or without valid reasons, however, JO has dismissed the criticism.
