Hovrätten bekräftar domen mot kvinna för mord

A 29-year-old woman has had her appeal against an 18-year prison sentence for the murder of an elderly woman in Uppsala last year quashed by a Swedish court. The woman, who has not been named, also received convictions for aggravated assault and robbery. The perpetrator had previously been known to the victim, whose home she broke into before attacking and strangling her. Despite claiming not to remember the incident and being heavily under the influence of drugs at the time, the court found that the defendant had acted purposefully to cause the woman's death.
